Who doesn't love a good home tour?

We've been in our 1908 Foursquare for just shy of four years now. Throughout our time in the house we've completed projects, both large and small, hatched plans, and had a lot of wonderful opportunities to enjoy our time in the house either on our own or with friends and family.

Now that we're a few years into the project, we wanted to give you a little glimpse into our home with a video home tour. Seeing the flow of walking room to room, how the spaces work together, and where we are in the process should give you a good idea of how far we've come, and how much we still have ahead of us.

This home tour video gives a pretty complete picture of our house. The only rooms not in the tour are the utility and laundry rooms off of the office. We have a ton we hope to accomplish in the near future and hope our video gives you an idea of the direction we're heading.

If you have any questions about our home's layout, our plans, or anything else, be sure to ask below and we'll do our best to answer. We hope you enjoyed our video and found it to be interesting (thought it was admittedly a little long). And we hope you have fun following along on our progress as we keep moving through our giant list of projects.

Thanks for the video tour! I'm continually amazed and impressed by the work you both do. You two inspired us to buy and renovate our own 1910 Victorian in NY. My question is what you plan to do with the one remaining original mantel? And whether or not you are going to try to restore any of the other fireplaces? We're trying to make fireplace decisions at our home and would love to hear what you are doing at yours!

We're so glad you decided to take the plunge on your home! I think we're going to just leave the mantel in place as evidence of the old chimney. We won't try to bring any of them back as the chimneys were actually removed from the house and the new one was built on the side of the house. So we'll just leave the mantel as a reminder. Thank you for the video tour of the 4-square house. It looks relaxing, what a perfect spot! You are so talented to have restored the plaster walls, move walls, built whatever you need. Amazing work by both of you. I'm continually impressed by how you accomplish working, taking care of the OT home, and now this one. Plus this vaca home has lots of grass to mow.

It's so funny how your porch posts are sort of propped up on metal stilts. What's the story with that?

We have no idea! We believe it may be someone's solution at some point to resolve some rot at the base of the posts. They stuck little flanges and pipe in below them and now it looks weird. It's one of the things on our list of items to resolve.

Phew. I'm glad you are just busy but otherwise ok. I have been looking for updates weekly to see how you were going. I guessed, being in the States with snow in winter, you are probably trying to do what you can while the weather is good. Winter in Melbourne has been yuk, but 10 degrees Celsius is our lowest day temp and that's when it gets bad. Hope you are getting things done and enjoying the warm!

Oh my gosh I love the beautiful blue tile on the bathroom floor! I usually like earth tones but that blue just looks like glass tile and reminds me of the blue waters in the Carribean. I would keep the layout the same just so I could keep the original floors. The yellow looks amazing with them too.

Guys, it's looking great. I remember how gutted you were when the heating system failed. I'm actually facing a minor crisis in that vein myself. No boiler, thank heavens, but every shutoff valve on all three bathrooms, kitchen and laundry at the parent's house are having to be replaced.

We have a 1894 Victorian Foursquare very similar to yours (same moldings and newel post). Intently waiting on your kitchen Reno. Can’t wait to see what you do!! Did your home have an hvac system when you bought it, or did you put one in? If you put it in, I’d LOVE to know more....
